ABOUT
SYNERGY ACROSS SECTORS (SXS)
Synergy Across Sectors (SXS) is a three-year international project that aims to fundamentally transform the way cultural institutions, creatives and business sectors work together. It responds to current challenges facing the cultural sector – in particular the need for digital transformation, finding new ways to reach audiences and more open interdisciplinary cooperation.
The SXS project systematically connects the cultural sector, business and creative industries within the framework of adult education for the first time. It creates space for sharing know-how and creating innovative partnerships that help cultural organisations to be more resilient, sustainable and better prepared for the future.
It also emphasizes sustainability, inclusiveness and accessibility, also for freelancers, small businesses and people from underrepresented groups. It creates a replicable European model of cooperation that can be transferred to other countries and cultural contexts.
The Synergy Across Sectors project is funded by the European Union under the Erasmus+ programme in the field of adult education, with a total of EUR 400,000. The project is under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic and with the support of the Hradec Králové Region.

A common space for communication, sharing and inspiration!
DISCORD is the main communication platform of the SXS project, which connects all involved actors - cultural institutions, creatives, business representatives and other partners. It serves as a live online environment for communication, sharing experiences and developing cross-sector cooperation.
Since the beginning of 2026, a closed communication platform (SXS server) has been launched, in which project participants can share:
- examples of good practice (best practice) from the Czech Republic and abroad,
- invitations to events, workshops and conferences focused on cross-sector cooperation,
- documents, presentations and working materials,
- know-how
- newly established partnerships across sectors
DISCORD enables clear communication in thematic channels, rapid exchange of information and long-term storage of important documents in one place.
The communication platform will be active for the entire duration of the project, i.e. until 2028, and will become a key space for building the community around the SXS project.
Synergy Across Sector: 2025-1-CZ01-KA220-ADU-000358083.
Under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic.

Funded by the European Union. The views and opinions expressed are those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect those of the European Union or the House of Foreign Affairs. Neither the European Union nor the grant provider is responsible for them.
